I posted earlier about a vintage clarinet I inherited. I thought it was a Renee Dumont, but it doesn't have a stencil on it with that logo. Instead, it has this written on it: RM R Malene Paris, professional. It has four stars on it. It doesn't have the original mouthpiece and needs pads. Does anyone know what this is and what it may be worth? I have pictures of it, if anyone needs a visual.

Probably a Malerne. As you say it was inherited, then currently your investment is at least quite low, if not zero. The Malerne Professional is an okay clarinet, with some actually being quite good. You'll probably spend $300-ish to overhaul it. If it is a "goodie" you should have a clarinet worth $450 to $550.
