Hi I was wondering what would be good tone exercises on the bass clarinet? I have found that the exercises I use for soprano clarinet are not so useful on the bass because of the greater quantity of air used when playing. I normally play the David Weber long tone exercises which are recommended by clarinetists like Jessica Phillips and Ricardo Morales. Thanks so much!

Clarinetto Il suono: arte e tecnica by Alessandro Carbonare is a great voicing/long tone book I'm found has helped a good amount besides doing my required Weber long tones.

One of my favorite on clarinet and bass are playing slow 12th. Playing a low E, 4 slow beats making a crescendo and souring up to the 12th, D, and making a slow dim. for four slow beats. Doing that on every cromatic note up to the E on the staff. Another favorite is very slow octaves, three octaves up. E-E-E, then back Down E- E , etc on every note as high as you want. Slowly.
