Hello,

I recently bought this C Fischer Clarinet at an estate sale and was wondering about the date it was made, which artist made it, and perhaps it's value (if known). Can anyone provide some insight?

Thank you,

Mitchell

I believe Fischer was a store and importer in New York.Others can correct me if I'm wrong. The clarinet was probably made in France. Someone else could perhaps shed light on the maker. I do know that Fischer was the importer for Buffet.

Thanks for your response Steven. Do you believe this is a Buffet? Also, do you know if this clarinet represents the Albert System key configuration?

Thanks again!

Mitchell

Looks very much like Albert system. This one has the rings for LH fingers which are not present on all simple system models.

Thank you Norman! I had a good feeling it was the Albert configuration, just wanted to double check.

With regard to value, how would one calculate this?

Thanks!

Carl Fischer also sold American-built "stencils"--many of them were built by Conn. Conn-built stencils normally used the designs of their second-line Pan American models.
