I picked up a Evette & Schaeffer Eb soprano clarinet that says Modele Buffet Crampon under the logo at the top end of the instrument just below the Made In France, above the A key as well as below the logo at the bell end and also on the barrel and the bell. The serial number is K63XX. Does anyone have any information as to the rarity and quality of this clarinet. Thanks in advance for any help given.

Can you post some photos as the keywork is bound to give it away.

That's not made by Buffet as their keywork is very different - see attached photo of a Buffet Eb from the early '60s.

It's identical that I have. It gets played occasionally by my wife. It looks like I did a little tuning to it. The quality is good and I'm not convinced that it wasn't made by Buffet (not that it makes much of a difference). I wouldn't consider it rare or especially valuable, but it could be a good Eb for someone not wanting to pay for a new one.

Where is the Evette & Schaeffer label? I can't see it in the picture.
Best regards,

It is located at the top of the key section. See photo.
It is a great player with spot on intonation.
