How many pieces in the orchestral repertoire begin with an unaccompanied Clarinet solo or duet? First movement only please.
Let's see how long a list we can come up with. Here are a few to get us started:
Rhapsody in Blue
Enescu Romanian Rhapsody No. 1
Korngold F-sharp Symphony
Tchaikovsky 5th Symphony
Prokofiev 3rd Piano Concerto
Sibelius Symphony 1
Good luck

Thomas, Overture to Mignon.
The Sibelius Symphony #1 actually begins with a ppp roll on the tympani, which continues throughout the clarinet solo.
