My name is Courtney Scott and I need some information on Sutermeiter's Capriccio for solo clarinet in A. I have looked all over the place and I could only find a little back ground on Sutermeister and nothing on the Capriccio. If any one could give me information on Suermeister's Capriccio, it would be great. Thank you very much.
Sincerely,
Courtney Scott
P.S. This is my first time to this site and I think it is great!

Courtney -
You forgot to search here. Click on the "Search" option on this page, where a search on Sutermeister finds 18 messages, and then click on the "Home" option at the top of this page, go to the "Klarinet Archives" search page to find 56 messages. Not all of these will give you background -- many simply ask for the same information you need -- but some of them are very helpful.
The Sutermeister Capriccio is deceptively difficult. You have to play it as if it were the easiest thing in the world, which it's not, and it can't have even a hint of heaviness or doggedness. You and the audience should be dancing.
Best regards.
