I Agree with Chetclarinet; independently what genre you will do you shouldn't reface a mouthpiece to reach a notes... for example i can reach quietly A7 with close mouthpiece or viceversa... The only think you can do is change the reed...

My suggest to refaced is when the edge or the worse the camera of mouthpiece is very ruined, if you do only to open the measure i won't recommend because isn't cheap, the cost could reach between 100 and 200 (one that can do it).

If you have, for example a Otto Link Sax Mouthpiece, you could reface it because Ottolink Sax Mouthpiece (especially Metal) aren't cheap and more people usualy reface it.
