Frank's a great guy and a wonderful player. Very supportive of those of us here in Cleveland (he's been very kind to me, asking my new quartet to play at his ChamberFest Cleveland series, and giving us a lot of very nice publicity). It's been great to see the outpouring of warmth and affection for his work. His inimitable sound will be missed at Severance Hall, but will be heard in chamber music here for many years to come.

I'm hoping he spends more time releasing recordings. I've heard some of amazing work of his, that the public has yet to sample.

I was there for his final solo performance at Blossom last Sunday, and to be a part of the extended standing ovations both before and after the Weber 2 was special.

Eric
