 Yamaha CSG II A

Hi all. I was just out trying secondhand clarinets recently and found a secondhand Yamaha CSG II A which I must say played far better than any other A clarinet that I've tried - it was very free-blowing with a sweet sound.

Has anyone else tried one of these and had similar thoughts?

I haven't spent a lot of time with one (I see mostly Buffets), but the few I've seen are well made and had a lovely sound.

I agree with Steve's assessment. Those that I have played have been very even and in tune as well.

I have one, and it's an amazing horn. I regularly received compliments on my Festival A, and my Yamaha is better.

Mine is not free-blowing, it has just a touch of resistance. Most important -- it matches my Yamaha Bb amazingly well.
