Hi
I am planning to apply to colleges in the UK for a postgrad course (2016 entry).
I am hoping to hear people's opinions about different colleges- what the teachers are like, course structures, performance opportunities etc.
I am hoping to become a professional orchestral player when I graduate.
Thank you very much!
Chloe

I'm beginning my Masters (in performance) at the RCM this September. I chose the RCM because I personally feel that it has a really nice, open-minded and relaxed attitude to music and they tend to encourage developing your own artistic voice. Also on a more specific note, the RCM has a full time Head of Woodwind, whereas RAM's Head of wind is still an active performer and isn't around as much. In terms of the audition experience, the RAM were quite rude and I'm not the only one who felt this way.
Any questions please feel free and best of luck!

Thanks very much for your reply.
Did you apply to other colleges other than the RCM and RAM? I am actually an international student so I don't know much about each of the colleges in the UK... Would love to know anything and everything about them!
