I've found this device http://www.canlessair.com/ useful in cleaning out the inside of a clarinet of water, including tone holes and pads (which swabs have limitations drying).
I think all the models come with the extension rods. I've found that sticking the device with one of its rods inside the cone featured as one of the products here:
http://www.amazon.com/Shop-Vac-Micro-cleaning-80189-1-1/dp/B00002ND4G
allows me to make a seal with the bottom of a[n] [assembled] bell.
While seated, I then engage the device with a rubber band to free my hands (it has what engineers call a dead man's switch--i.e. one with no locking "on" state like a flashlight), stick my chin under the top of an assembled clarinet's barrel (i.e. mouthpiece removed) and cover/uncover tone holes with my fingers to let air flow through them.
I bear zero financial affliation with this product.
Please do not try to fabricate this with any pressurized can based canned "air" product. Not only will the can not spray long enough, but the gases (not air) emitted by such products cool to levels, within a few seconds, that can be potentially damaging to instruments.
The unit can run continually for 15 mintues between charges. That's enough time for dozens of clarinet cleanings.
Still more, if the horns or percussionist behind you don't play too loud, you can let them borrom it for cleaning or musical sound effects respectively!
