Trackmole https://trackmole.com/ registers the serial numbers of your instruments and other valuables and supplies the police with information when something is stolen. They seem to be active in the Midwest and West.

I know Mark keeps a stolen instruments registry http://www.woodwind.org/clarinet/Stolen.html, but it has only a few entries. The IDRS keeps a list of stolen double-reed instruments.

Has anyone used Trackmole or other services?
