I play a Geo. Bundy (also labeled George M. Bundy) Paris B-flat clarinet with a 3 digit serial number. I've had it for almost 40 years and it was used when I got it. It had a major "tune-up" about 5 yrs ago.
I am not interested in selling this instrument, but I am curious as to whether anyone can give me any information about its history. I am also interested in any opinions about the quality of this model relative to the other newer and popular models found on the market today as new or recently new. Would the the Geo. Bundy Paris model be considered a student instrument or something better? Have there been improvements in design that would make a newer clarinet easier to work with?

We had a go-around on the G M B not long back, so Search the PHorum for it. A good friend has one [have ser # somewhere] which, via Selmer's history and Bundy's joining them [and Stan's recollection of first seeing the cl] dates it to late 1920's- early 30's. While it is cylindrical bore [as nearly as we can tell] it was at least a good intermediate / near-pro cl for that time period, its only "fair" IMHO now. Improvements since? YES. More ?'s? Don
