Just laid my hands on a Leblanc Pete Fountain Bb (1967) that sounds very promising. I was wondering, is there any A clarinet of Leblanc that could be a decent match with this big straight bore Bb ?

Look for a Dynamic-H as they had the 15mm bore like the Pete Fountain model.

try clarinetsdirect.com They had a Pete Fountain the last time I looked. It may have been an A!

If Dynamic H is hard to find the more traditional LL model is a pretty close fit, it's parallel bore of 14.8mm is only slightly less than the Pete Fountain and LLs are relatively easy to find.
