Hi,
I ordered this instrument from a dealer in Arizona in January. I'm going to be in Arizona this week and plan to visit the dealer (I live in Oregon). I just received word that it won't arrive until May. I am trying to cancel the order. I saved $400 off regular retail and currently have no immediate use for it. I already have the Fobes Eb mouthpiece for it and was hoping to play it in jazz this summer and maybe some band/orchestra gigs in the fall.
Should I wait? Cancel? Find a used one?
Thanks.

Get a C Clarinet from T Ridenour and really tear into some jazz without the awful screeking sound.

Were I in your position, I would look for a used E-flat from the Noblet works--Leblanc Paris, Noblet, and Normandy--and add a Fobes barrel to compliment your Fobes mouthpiece. Have the clarinet rebuilt to your exact specification. You will save some substantial money, and there's a good chance you'll be happier with the results.

Fly to Jacksonville. Get the clarinet from Buffet. Pretty good rates to Florida can be found.

I just buy a used amati 261 eb clarinet. It is quiet good. Leather pad, solid key work, acceptable intonation.
The only problem of this clarinet is the bore is not very smooth, but it doesn't affect its function.

Hi,
I visited the dealer while in Arizona. He offered to refund my money but was able to get the horn by the end of April. The dispute is still open with my credit card company but for now I will keep the order. I should be OK. Thanks for the responses.
