LOL...yeah, I saw this on one of the TV network news shows this morning.
I do have a resolution (no pun intended) though.
(With tongue in cheek) The broadcasters got the story wrong I think. Rather, they meant to say that anyone who sees gold and white needs to be PUNCHED, until they are black and blue, not until they see black and blue.
But I digress.
You know the other day I was tryinig a Rovner Dark ligature on my upper joint Buffet, lower joint Selmer hybrid clarinet and let me tell you about that sound.....I have never heard such a dark..........
(Poster's note: I am not blind (again no pun) to the science behind how we process color. The aforementioned dress was presented in TV studio lights, and as concurred by everyone in front of the camera, including the model herself, black and blue was its colors...well black is really a shade not a color and .........)

...Portnoy the mouthpiece maker (mock assuming you are referring to my mock hybrid clarinet) or another Portnoy who speaks of how we mentally process visual color, not accoustical "color?"

Fear not Lelia. I'm old enough to get that reference you made to Phillip Roth's highly acclaimed novel and your play on words.
