I want to buy one what physical characteristics as to tipopening, bore size,tablelengthand lay will give me a dark warm sound or the least amount of harmonics.What brands offer this and I'm also wondering about the trio of crystalmpcs that sold on ebay for162.50 would the manufacturing techniques to make them ( one was a selmer the other italian the other?)be the same as today's or was the quality better or worse.Also it would be fore jazz, I need another for my alto clarinet and saw a blowoutsale for altompc. at woodwind&brasswind don't know the brand any help it's for classical music.

There seems no manufacturer who gives tip opening selection for crystal mouthpieces. Almost all of them sells only one type and because of the manufacturing difficulties some of them ceased to make them.
Only Pomarico sells three types of crystal mouthpieces characterized not by tip openings but by tones. This Italian manufacturer is a sponcer of this site. Why not read their URL at the Sponcer page and ask your question by e-mail?
By the way paying 162$ for one seems somewhat ridiculous. Pomarico's costs below 1/2 ot that money.
