I recently preformed at solo and ensemble and I'm looking for my next solo. I played solo de concours some what successfully this year. I already know about most of the really famous ones like Mozart clarinet concerto and Weber concertino and I'm looking for solos that I've never heard of before that are really cool like solo de concours. They also have to be off this list

I don't really care about what level it is, but I would prefer a 5 or up because then I could go to state.

I've been working on (read: struggling with) the first movement of A Set for Clarinet Unaccompanied by Donald Martino. It's a very difficult piece, but fun once you get the hang of it.

I may or may not have gotten the sheet music by splicing together the images from this Youtube video. You can purchase the sheet music online too:

This says it's a 6+. I haven't really done competitions before so I'm not familiar with the level system - I assume 6+ is pretty up there. Not sure what level you're looking for exactly.
Edit: By "off this list," do you mean it has to be listed there, or it should not be listed there? That could be taken either way.

I put a vote in for the Debussy Premiere Rhapsody on another thread so this time I'll go with the following:
Spohr Concerto Nr. 1 (First Mvt)
Poulenc Sonata (First Mvt)
Lutoslaski Dance Preludes (a bit more contemporary without being obnoxious)

WhitePlaines: Messager
Paul: Debussy is way out of my range like by far. I was struggling with the messager to give you an idea of my level. The sphor I don't believe is on the list and I'll look into the other 2
Max: It has to be on the list, this is a list of all the accepted solos. I'd have to see about adding a solo to the list but that is very unlikely. A 5 is usual college level literature and a 6+ is like really really hard.

I happen to also like all three of Paul's suggestions so i will give my +1 for each of those. I think it will help if you know what you are looking for. Do you want to do another french conservatory piece like the Messager? or perhaps some romantic music like either of the Brahms sonatas? or something more contemporary?

Lately, I've been really liking the french style expecially the concours, but I'm still new to music ish and I'm discovering all this new music that is so cool. Honestly I don't know what I'm looking for just something I like.

It's ironic that I asked for a clarrification between Ribaud's and Messager's Solo de Concurs prior because based upon your self described level, and desire for the French style, as you put it, I would recommend Ribaud's piece of the same name next.
I believe it considerably easier than the Messager, but still wonderful musically, and in the desired class 5 or 6 (I checked the list) you seek.
I think you will have too much trouble with Spohr 1, movements 1 or 3.
The Weber's listed, and the Mozart mvts 1 & 3 are deceptively hard, particularly the 1st movement.

I recommend the Finzi Clarinet Concerto for something truly atmospheric and soulistic. Working on it right now actually It does however require a beautiful sound and mature approach to music, but hey don't all solos?

I don't think I'm going to go with the Mozart possibly the weber, but I have a year and I'm starting a few months early. Typically people start preparing October ish. My main goal here is to find new solos. For example last year before I found the concours I was really into the Mozart style, but then I heard concours and got completely taken over by it. So far I feel the same way about the other concours as I do about other solos, its cool but its still not popping out at me.

Anyone have a recording of this with a piano accompaniment the orchestra version is really long and when listening to tons of solos that's a large chunk of time.

locke9342, while you may hate to hear this, I really vote that you do take the time to just listen to the orchestra version (if not for atleast just movements one and two). Part of the piece is it's atmosphere and you will really feel it with an orchestra performance. It's why I'm so deeply in love with this concerto.
This is the recording I recommend: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GMukLZGaE0I

I listened to the first movement and I like it not as much as the weber and mozart but better than most. I'm still looking for that one that pops out at me though.

Perhaps you'd be interested Willson Osborne's Rhapsody for Clarinet. It may not seem terribly difficult, but it should be an interesting experiment in unaccompanied playing. If you'd like a grade six, I'd recommend Hindemith's sonata. Again, it is a bit unconventional (like most 20th century music seems) but is is beautiful and requires a bit less technical prowess than say the Debussy or Messager, and is less commonly performed.

So I made a list ranking most of the suggestions on this post. Hopefully this will show my interests a bit better
Top:
Weber Concertino
Mozart concerto
Poulenc Clarinet Sonata (I mianly only like the middle and end)
(There's a piece by saint seans I'm forgetting)
Good: (These could probably all be Top but I need to draw the line somewhere)
Osborne
Finzi
Sphor
Okay:
Hindemith
Dance Preludes, Witold Lutoslawski

Cahuzac's "Variations Sur Un Air Du Pays D'oc" is a wonderful contest piece in theme and variations style. The Rossini Intro, Theme and Variations is a nice option too. Honestly, I'd stick with the 5 level if the Debussy is out of reach and the Messager was challenging. Rabaud is a nice option too.
I will agree with the Finzi as well. The first movement of Finzi is a really lovely movement, one of my favorites in the repertoire, and sadly not heard often enough.
Two other pieces that are excellent repertoire are the Finzi Bagatelles and the Saint-Saens Sonata.
