I picked up my new (old) Selmer from the post office this morning. Unfortunately I am unable to try 'er out til I get done working later (ugh, the anticipation!) The MP that is with it is labeled "West Wind", West Music Co, Iowa City, IA and B2 is also stamped into it. Does anyone know anything about it? I found a similar one listed as a vintage student model, LeBlanc. So, is it a LeBlanc "blank" then? Is B2 just a model number, or does it indicate something specific? I did search but not much came up. A little disappointed it didn't come with a Selmer MP because the rest of the horn is pretty original (I think even the ligature by the looks of the metal.)

Westwind mouthpieces were made many years ago by the music store "West Music". The West Music store used to be in Iowa City, but moved the store a mile away to it's present location in Coralville, Iowa. It's my understanding that the Westwind clarinet mouthpieces were all modeled from Kaspar mouthpieces and there is a correlation between the model numbers.
