I guess G clarinets have been an on-and-off topic on the Bboard. We have heard the Amati, Girnata and Ripamonti horns. Early this year Martin Foag also released his series of G-clarinets which became more and more popular in Germany as well as other parts of Europe, so I'd like to bring it up here so everyone could have a look. Here is a Foag Boehm G clarinet played by jazz and ethnic artist Isa Pini. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=reKO2HiBIoM&feature=share

A few months back I had the chance to play an Indian-made Albert G. Fit and finish were acceptable, and it played and sounded surprisingly good, but it felt like playing a telegraph pole.

I thought this was going about an octave G clarinet. Just below an a-flat

He's got his Optimum ligature on the wrong way up... but the girls still think he's hot!
