In that case I would find a case for the stand a attach it to the bass clarinet case. A tripod bag might work. You might be able to attach it to the clarinet case straphooks, or maybe also add a pocket for the bottom of the stand case to get into (like some camera bags have for tripods).
Especially if you don't ALWAYS need both clarinet and stand it might be a hassle to have that huge case for both, either unecessarily carrying it or just taking space when not.

I would probably not take the stand with me. Or I'd put it in another checked bag/suitcase. Or if I don't have space for it, just don't bring it and use a chair (or whatever is available). If you need the stand to save space on stage, I guess it"s a big group and then there are usually a lot of instruments combined in cases (or something similar) and no problem finding space for the stand somewhere.
A stand like the K&M is very durable, even if you drop it without a bag it's unlikely that anything would happen to it. I wouldn't be concerened even putting it in a (maybe padded) bag and just check it as another bag.
