Hey everyone... I've been on hiatus a bit, the clarinets are in the closet.
My apartment, unfortunately, has some bedbugs, and I want to make sure I don't take any with me when I move in a few days. Sterilizing the cases won't be a problem (steaming the **** out of them), but I want to make sure none are hiding in the instruments themselves. Does anyone have any experience with this?
I'm *guessing* a couple passes with a laundry steamer would be a bit inadvisable, or?
I have a wooden Eb and a metal contra living with me.

If you have a suitcase large enough, place the instruments in the case, close the lid so that just the nozzle of a critter spray will reach in. Leave suitcase closed for a day or two, and, if you're paranoid, repeat the procedure. Then properly air the instruments prior to use.

ahhhh, hmm... that might do the trick. I could also put them in the case with those anti-bedbug strips for a few weeks. Thanks for the suggestion!
