 new bass clarinet neck

I have a 60's LeBlanc Paris bass clarinet and I would like to get a new neck with the current angled neck. I tried a Vito replacement neck, but it was two layers of "Scotch" tape too small and was returned. Any one know of a replacement neck that might fit? I'm looking for something "affordable", I know Bay makes one, but it is out of my price range at this point. The current neck works OK, but I would like to get one with a more "clarinet" angle so I can look over the music stand, instead of around it.

Thanks, John

Josef Horak showed me what he did:

Sit a little forward in the chair.
Put your right heel against the right front chair leg.
Put the floor peg in the "V" between your heel and the chair leg.
Lean the instrument to the left and rotate the mouthpiece to bring the reed level.

You could also sit at the front edge of the chair and move the floor peg back as far as possible.

Or raise the music stand almost to eye level and rotate it back almost horizontal, so you can see the conductor.

Or turn your chair at an angle so you can see around the BC. That's the only way you can play contra. Watch what the tuba players do.

There are quite a few low-priced Chinese-made necks on TheInfernetInternetAuctionSiteWhoseNameShallNotBeMentioned.

I bought one last year (the variety having an octave vent/key on it) and it is actually pretty decent. Tenon diameter of the one I bought was a bit on the large side. No way to say if one of these would fit your Vito without modification, but it wouldn't cost you much to find out.

Also, your current neck can be re-angled, it's not that difficult.
