 Age of my noblet 45

I have a Noblet 45 Bb intermediate clarinet. It has the noblet Paris DN
diamond emblem. The only numbers stamped on it is 301. It was
reconditioned in 2002 and hasn't been played since. It has been stored on
a shelf in my closet.

That Logo has not been in use since about 1965 and the style of keywork pre-dates the move to Leblanc jump style.
Info on early Noblet serial numbers is rather scarce but I would put it's age at at least 60+ years.

Noblet changed the emblem frequently. The illustrated, dated list is at http://www.clarinetperfection.com/clsnLeblancNoblet.htm#EmblemNoblet.

(You'll probably have to highlight and copy this link, since the system Mark uses can't digest a link containing the # sign).

The pads will probably be leaking after 14 years in the closet. If you aren't still playing, you should have a repair shop check it over to find whether it's in playable condition.

It's probably not worth a lot. One like it sold recently for $66 on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Noblet-Paris-Grenadilla-Wood-Clarinet-Model-45-Very-Low-Serial-Number-/151332681111?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item233c217597, and none sold for more than $300.

Steve Sklar has info on Noblets @ http://www.clarinetperfection.com/clsnLeblancNoblet.htm according to it logo had been used at least since 1960 to 1990. Serial numbers w/o letter had been used up to 1971

This one looks alot like yours.. http://www.clarinetperfection.com/CLARINET/cl04pics.htm

Steve Sklar's site is a valuable resource, I have used it frequently over the years, but even it is not 100% accurate.
I have handled many dozen Noblets over the years.
I currently have 3 Noblet 45 Artist clarinets in my workshop dating between 1974 and 1979 and in every case they use the double diamond emblem with a single N in the top diamond.

I stand by the dates in my earlier post - instrument is at least 60 years old.
