If a clarinet bell is listed as having "very slight surface fissure cracks on the inside" would it be too much of a risk?

I've never had a wooden clarinet, so I'm not familiar with the severity of this issue.

If it's just the bell then you could probably just replace with an after-market bell from a company like Backun if its to bad depends on the value of the clarinet your purchasing. Just make sure there are no cracks in the main body.

If it doesn't go through to the surface, there's nothing to worry about. If it does go through, it's a very simple repair to close it with super-glue.

Alvin Swiney has written that a light bell with open-grained wood is the best kind.

Well, it's a separate bell I'm intending to buy.

Thank you for the information.
