The clear plastic horn on eBay went for $811. Five bidders competed in the last few minutes, each bidding over $300.

I was one of the $300. bidders - thought that I could use it as advertising as "the only clarinet in the world that didn't need my products" but it got way to rich for my pocketbook way to fast at the end. Oh well!

What was Buffet thinking? A clear plastic clarinet.
I can barely stand looking at clear mouthpieces but if someone wants a clarinet that allows them to see their condensation bubbling around then I guess the $800 is worth it to them. Me, I'd rater put that towards a nice wood clarinet that hides the bubling water.
