From the first notes his tone sounds like it resonates along a perfectly round pipe originating in his trachea and exiting from the bell.
For me -- the perfect clarinet sound.

Clearly they were a visiting orchestra somewhere. This was "back-in-the-day" when Bud Herseth was still around.....another CSO great.
Larry played some jazz on the side with a local group called "Ears." I'm a little surprised that once this thing got cranked up, he didn't play it more loose. I guess the setting was to great a pull for him :-)
