Hello, my Buffet R-13 is less than a year old, but is broken in. I am going to be away from my instrument for a month. Do I need to break it in again after the one month layoff? Thank you for your input.

If any way possible, take it with you and play it as often as you can ... and don't transport it as baggage, keep it with you ... that's an ideal circumstance.
I am not sure if wooden clarinets, once "broken in" (whatever that means) need to be broken in again, unless left unattended for many weeks.
I think Mr.Hans Moennig suggested keeping your clarinet stored in a wooden dresser drawer in a controlled environment ... or something like that ... in the winter, you may need something in the case to add humidity.
An R13 greenline probably doesn't care what you do, other than the pad skins getting eaten by little tiny bugs...
I am sure more will post better information than I have ...

No, but you'll need to be broken in again. Clarinet playing (music making in general) is a perishable skill. Vladimir Horowitz said, "I can take a day off from playing and I will notice. I can take two days off from playing and my wife will notice. But if I take three days off from playing everyone will notice."

No. Enjoy your vacation and resume practicing when you return.
