Timothy - I listened to the Jolivet Sonatine for flute and clarinet since I am not familiar with the piece. I thought you played it quite well, but I particularly liked the interplay between you and the flute. You were well matched in pitch for the most part and you were clearly communicating well as you played. Nice job from both of you, and thanks for introducing me to the piece.

Fantastic! I particularly enjoyed you interpretation of the Copland. May I ask where you studied?

Filettofish:
I studied at the University of Illinois for undergrad and Roosevelt's Chicago College of Performing Arts for my masters.
Thank you for the compliment. The Copland will be a work in progress for many years to come.

Hey "TJTG,"
Who teaches clarinet at Roosevelt these days? I studied with Wollwage "back in the day."

Small world - I studied with Wollwage at his house when I was in high school. Then I went to U of I for 2 years, and came back to Chicago, where I studied with Wollwage again. Nice guy, huge talent. Heard him play chamber music live a bunch of times - he was amazing.
I think both John Bruce Yeh and Greg Smith are at Roosevelt now?

John Yeh and Charlene Zimmerman teach at Roosevelt. Charlene comes and goes when she's needed, or so she's said... she was brought on after Carol Lee left, but said she's taught at Roosevelt a lot in the past
Greg is on the roster, but he never takes students. I think he's had 1 in four years, and she certainly didn't start with him. He really doesn't seem to want students. Carol Lee used to teach there, but left suddenly my first year there. I'm not sure why.
