I've been recently looking into purchasing an A clarinet and ran into a great deal on a used Selmer Privilege. It is has the extra Eb/Ab key for hard passages. I've heard different things about it. Some people have said they had the key removed because it got in the way too much, and others think it helps (like it should). I'll still most likely purchase this clarinet either way. Opinions?

I have the left Eb/Ab on my bass and miss it when I'm playing my soprano clarinets! It can get you out of a jam nicely.

Removing that key, if you don't like it, is easy. Adding one, if you desperately want one, is certainly possible but somewhat costly...
Therefore, go for it.
