 Bam case

Hi,
I'm looking in a case besides the protec that I curently have. Here's the link to one I was thinking of.

http://www.bamcases.com/en/instruments/wind-cases/clarinet/sib/3627-x-light-1-bb-clarinet-case-with-pocket-2-straps---black.html

can it stand at a ninety degree angle while I take my clarinet out and can it hold things?

Thanks,
MG

If it has a good spine, then it should be able to open 90 degrees. I don't know too much about it, but from the picture on the site it seems like it could.

I guess the small front pocket is for little bits of gear, but I can't really say whether a bunch of music will be able to fit in there. A LUX case would be better for things like that.

Also, I use a thick black nylon laptop bag with two pockets- one that is rather large, and the other thin. My Buffet case fits snugly in the large pocket, and music in the thin pocket, with a large array of small pockets and zippers. A well-made bag like this could serve you well also.

I have that Bam Case. Very good soft case.

The lid flops back

I just got it a month ago, but am replacing it with a Lomax case (much more $ and size, but humidity controlled.)

I use an older Yamaha soft side double case (no longer available, I think) and to cope with the top that flops back, I installed a Velcro strap on either side to hold it up and make assemble easier. Just use a needle and thread to attach the ends and the Velcro pads to adjust the length needed--works for me and my clarinets.
