Anji has a very good point. The golf stroke is actually so smooth and easy when done right. I would suggest that besides the grip, you may be trying to hurry your swing. You may be trying for full head speed in the first few inches of your swing. Relax, let your swing build from the top of your backswing.

Enjoy yourself. Yes, golf is the most frustrating game in the world but also one of the most enjoyable - almost as enjoyable as music.
