I have performed a movement from Telemann's Sonata for two flutes or violins without bass several times. I'm not always comfortable dealing with contrapuntal lines and determining how much to favour one part or the other at various times. I have included a link to the score. It is Sonata 2 in E minor. The Allegro movement.

Out of curiosity, what sort of questions do you have pertaining to the movement?

I would assume the first seven bars has the upper voice prominent and the next seven the lower voice. I am inclined to make a decrescendo in bar 7 realizing this might not be Telemannish. Bar 14 through 17 seems to me to have the upper voice prominent for a couple bars starting with the two 16ths. The bottom imitates this in bar 16 starting with the two 16ths.
I am not suggesting a big disparity in dynamics between the voices when there is a prominent voice but just enough to make things clear.
What do you think? Am I approaching this in a reasonable fashion or not?

A suggestion would be to bring out the melodic line just a touch more than the counterpoint.
