Gonzales generously sent me GD 2.5 and 2.75 to try (since I was having trouble finding 2-packs for sale). And initially I thought they're not right for me- but later I decided to keep trying with them.
Now I'm ordering a box of FOF's... which are probably closer to my Vandoren blue 2.5's I'm still stuck on. (GD I think is similar to V12.)

Being "stuck on" Vandoren Blues is not a bad thing, they're great reeds.

I understand and agree, Bruno. When I get one adjusted just right, it's wonderful. And I eventually get just about every reed well playable via ATG. I'm just hoping for an alternative that is closer to my ideal out of the box. Of course there are lots of brands and types out there, but realistically- after FOF and Gonzalez classic (if neither of those is better), I'm probably settled for the long haul.
