I want to change out my Yamaha 4c mouthpiece to a quality Vandoren.
I am a beginner and Will be using the Clarinet while traveling, because I will be staying in hotels I am looking for a mouthpiece that can produce beautiful sound in all keys when played softly.
Suggestions would be very helpful,

A "beautiful" sound comes from knowing what you want that to be and then practising lots and lots until you start to get somewhere near it.
The Yamaha 4C is quite capable of making beautiful sounds in the right hands.
Learning to play in a hotel will be quite challenging, for you and your neighbours.
When I travel I try to find somewhere private to practice - like nearby fields, woods, barns etc so I can relax and play normally.

In regard to a good sound while playing softly, any good MP should fill the bill and have a quality sound at any dynamic level.
I own a 4C as well, and it is not without redeeming features. I don't use it normally, but have occasionally.
But, I'd look for other places to play as you travel and get out of the hotel room sometimes. Don't get accustomed to always playing softly, later when you get in a large ensemble and have to "push" a little, you may have problems. You need a practicing spot so you can explore all dynamic levels.
It is a problem for me, practicing at home and trying not to disturb the neighbors and get the dogs barking ... but you really have to be allowed to open up and play with a lot of volume or you will get out of shape ...

Vandoren Masters CL4, 5RV Lyre, M13.
Being used to the Yamaha, you may not notice a difference right away (proper use of air is going to determine your sound, not your mouthpiece though), but you should be able to do more with any of the Vandorens in my opinion.

I think the M30 is the most ideal starting point. Not exactly a pea-shooter mouthpiece, easy enough to control with a great sound.

I agree with David about the Fobes Debut. Don't be fooled by its low price. They often play better than mouthpieces which are much more expensive.
