 Reed Mate Question

I know some of you use and like this product, as sure as it's had bboard time in the past.

What I'd like to know is what are you buying when you buy the refills that go into the Reed Mate case to help control the humidity?

I can't help but think it's something that might be purchased cheaper, like at a cigar shop.

Thanks.

No idea, but they are fair to poor compared to what is out these days.

Noted David, thanks. I agree Rico's product line (which you artistically represent vis a vis Daddario) is better.

The Reed Mate though has dimensions that allow it to sit in an accesories area of my double case.

"What's out" meaning many other products - Vandoren included.

Regular reed packaging that comes with reed put in a plastic freezer bag with a Boveda humidity pack would work a lot better. And you can mark on the reed "case" the date that reed was put into service.

Same space problem with VD humidity reed store products.

Using plastic bag with Boveda now.

Binds case a bit.

Trying small modified plastic container from The Container Store with Boveda pack...just exploring options.

Thanks.

Container store has some small ones that work really well. Cases these days without pockets are hard to fit much of anything in.

Are Boveda humidity packs better than the humidity packs Rico sells?

Rico ones are better, as the white color is more pleasing on the eye.....

(Not)

They are from Boveda
