Greetings all!
I am considering purchasing a contra alto clarinet in the near future. The one I'm looking at does not come with a mouthpiece. A while back I found this picture of a mouthpiece adapter on the internet:

I was wondering, would it be feasible to make a mouthpiece adapter so I could use my bass clarinet mouthpiece on a contra clarinet? The obvious disadvantage would be that it would have a weaker tone, but the plus side is that I could use my good bass clarinet mouthpiece instead of buying a bundy contra alto mouthpiece and lig. The bore diameters are very close (0.945 for my mouthpiece compared to 1.025 for the contra's bore) Does anyone have this kind of setup on there contra clarinet?
Thank you.
