I haven't heard of a Meyer clarinet before (I admit I am not well versed in the different makes!) Is this a decent clarinet? There is one for sale on eBay that I might be interested in. I am looking for an intermediate quality clarinet.

I would love to have that clarinet BUT my husband would have a stroke if I spent that much (I know the clarinet is worth it but try and tell him that!)

Use your "mad money" and don't tell him how much it costs!

A good used E-11 for under $400.00 that has already been overhauled is an excellent buy. It's already sold (the one Bill mentioned), but if you could save up for one and get it from a reputable seller, you would have a good clarinet for a long time with a very, very reasonable amount of money.
