Hello there,
I'm looking for a few dates for composers and I'm wondering if anybody can help me. I've done an extensive search but I cannot find dates for Bela Kovacs, he wrote quite a few pieces for clarinet but I can't seem to locate any biographical information. I'm also looking firm dates for Paul Reade, he wrote a piece for a cooking show Victorian kitchen garden. Can anyone help? I would really appreciate it.
Thanks!
Kim

Bela Kovacs records on the Naxos label, I know he has recorded some of Mozart's chamber music, which is on one of Naxos 2-CD sets (Chamber Music for Clarinet). He also plays with the Budapest Clarinet Quintet, titled Clarinet Evergreens. (both are great CDs, especially the second)
He was born in 1937, and I believe he's still alive. There's other info in the liner notes of those CDs, but I don't have them right now.
Have you checked the big music encyclopedias (eg: Groves), or music research CD-ROMs? The second are probably available at university music libraries. The CD-ROMs may help you find articles about him.
