 Clarinet/Sax mic

Hi guys.

I was just wondering, is it possible to use same mic for sax and clarinet? (for example, DPA 4099)

I use a Shure 57 for both. I'm not familiar with the one you mention. I do alter my position and distance to the mic depending on which instrument I'm playing and which register of the clarinet I'm using...It can make a difference if the sound guy can't predict how loud you'll be. ;)

I am happy with my DPA 4061, recommended to me by Anat Cohen. The kit cost about $450 vs. $600 for the 4099. Those prices are from B & H. What I hear from multi-instrumentalists is that the 4099 is great in a variety of situations, with the smaller 4061 being preferable where size is a consideration.
