I noticed the other day that I have a slight chip in the window of my mouthpiece. It is on the barrel end in the center. Theoretically, and practically if the answer is known, will this affect the sound? I haven't noticed anything but my practice room is small and relatively dead tonally. Thank you and Merry Christmas to all of the members!

As long as the chip does not allow air leakage from under the reed and nothing protrudes above the level of the table, probably not.
