The Gigliotti Advantage is a mouthpiece that's marketed to the entry level student or one very near to that level. I don't think Gigliotti had anything to do with its design or development except to the extent that his second wife, who has run the Gigliotti merchandising enterprise since his death, *may* have based its dimensions on the original line of better quality mouthpieces that he did participate in developing. Those are worth at least considering, though they're not everyone's cup of tea. I'd say that if you're interested in a Gigliotti mouthpiece and are willing to pay for it, you should try the real thing. It's a different situation from a Fobes student mouthpiece, which is still produced by Clark Fobes and for which he still takes responsibility.
The Advantage is better than a Goldentone or a Graftonite, but it isn't as high a quality mouthpiece as the 5RV or as carefully designed as any of the Fobes line.
You have asked now about several mouthpieces. I'm not sure why, but you've neglected - resisted? - explaining what you're looking for that's different from your 5RV. As I remember, you described jaw pain which may have been aggravated if not started by a switch to a B45, but you've never explained why the 5RV you're using as its fallback isn't what you're looking for. With all respect, if we knew what you're looking for in playing qualities, or at least what you're trying to correct in those of the 5RV, someone might be able to make a useful suggestion, although it really always comes down to your own reaction based on trying mouthpieces out yourself.
