Hey guys, was searching on here and couldn't find much info I was looking for. So we found this old silver (I believe) clarinet. It's stamped as DeKay Deluxe made in USA. If anyone has any info on value and things like that please let me know. Thank you for the help.

Metal clarinets were produced in large quantities and had many labels. The value is practically zero.

Yep, that one is not worth much of anything-low grade stencil. Collectible grade metal clarinets were made by respectable makers like Conn, Selmer, Beuscher, Bettony, King, Penzel Mueller and some others. They can often be identified by things like mechanical tuning barrels, sections that come apart, gold wash bells, sometimes double walls. A few plain ones might be good but you have to know what you're looking at.

As others have mentioned the value is very low, maybe around $50 if you polished it up real nice first. Unfortunately it's best use is probably as a display piece at this point as it almost certainly will need an overhaul to get it in playing shape and it wouldn't be worth spending the money on an instrument that has very little chance of playing better than a student level clarinet.
Metal clarinets are interesting curiosities but there are really only about a dozen or so models that can really be considered desirable from the standpoint of collectibility or playing attributes.

Lamp base material. Very sturdy and a conversation piece.
