I have a bass clarinet I would like to know the model number, It's Selmer Low-C, 3 extended range keys under right hand thumb, no extra keys on right pinky, extra G#/D# on left pinky. Serial no. V07XX. I am going to put it up for sale shortly so if anybody can give me a approx. value that would be helpful, plays great, pads are in very good shape, some wear on neck and bell, original case is near mint.
Thanks

Sounds like it may be a model 31 or 33. That would make it about 50 years old, give or take. I play the 31 or 33 myself, never really sure, had it for 48 years now. Contact me on my e-mail, I might have a student interested. There should be five pinky keys in the right hand. The normal four plus the low Eb. Is there a low alternate D in the left hand?

The only low D is in the right thumb, the right pinky has 5 keys of course the Eb key, the left pinky has 4 keys the additional G#/D# key. Again the serial number is V07XX.
My personal Selmer low C bass is keyed just like this one but the serial number starts with a A34XX, when looking at a Selmer serial number list it's pretty confusing. I did write to Conn Selmer but I am not expecting a response.
I saw a bass that was keyed the same on Ebay about three months ago that sold for $3,100.00, I thought that was pretty low? I payed slightly less than that for mine about 10 years ago.
Thanks for your input, the bass is located in the Detroit Michigan area.
