M13 / M13 Lyra / B40 Lyra / B45 dot / B45 / TR Eroica
I regard all of these as equally suitable in various reed combinations.

Ralph Morgan RM-05. But I have friends and students playing on the new Rico Reserve X5 -- excellent, especially for less than $100.

Dunno about "favorite", but currently using VD 5RV Lyre on Bb and VD 5RV not Lyre on A.

*Yawn* Best mouthpiece or most popular? Definitely not the same thing.
If a reason for thinking a mouthpiece is the best is that it's most popular, you've got some thinking to do.
Icing on the cake: There has already been an extensive thread having people list their equipment. I would be curious to see if you could go back to that thread and analyze the data, but the conclusion would still be a curiosity and not something that really helps anyone choose equipment.
I don't mean to be harsh, but unless you include a question like "what does this mouthpiece allow you to do that others don't?" or something else that hasn't been addressed already, then it's redundant thread. I'm a bit surprised the thread wasn't closed already.

My personal favorites:
Bb:
- Jim Kanter AA - very smooth/round/deep sound, great for recording
- VD M30 - big dark sound, free/responsive
- Smith Personal - very free, superb response, perfect intonation
- VD B40 - rock solid response/intonation, big/focused sound, rather resistent
- Fobes Europa 4 - very free, dark sound, great response
- Kessler/Backun III - great sound/intonation/response, nice resistance
Eb:
- Jim Kanter
- Redwine Zinner (1.05)

My daughter just switched to a vintage Gigliotti, reworked by Wodkowski. It sounds beautiful!
