Hello all. So i am thinking instead of getting my mouthpiece refaced by Greg Smith to ease up the resistance a little bit in my Greg Smith Kaspar Cicero. Have many of you gotten your mpcs resurfaced? And what are your guys' ideas and hints on it?

Come on, wouldn't it make sense that Greg would do a superb job of refacing or adjusting his own mouthpieces?
Have you talked to Greg directly and told him what you are looking for? He's one of the best in the business.
If not, then you have a phone call to make.

You got it from him, talk to him and send it back for adjustment. Expect to pay for shipping, but adjustments for a mouthpiece you already purchased from him shouldn't cost as much as a reface (or anything at all, policies vary from person to person).
Email or call him, he's usually very accessible. You can tell him what you're experiencing and what you want.

Hi Jacob,
Excellent advice given above. Before you reach out to Greg Smith though at the very least try different strengths of reeds from other brands out there. You might be pretty suprised when you start experimenting. I have made the mistake in the past thinking that a certain mouthpiece was not for me and that maybe an adjustment was needed, but I learned that experimenting with different strengths of reeds really helped, not to mention use of some the mouthpiece patches that are available on the market.
