Greetngs all,
I have a Buffet Bb wood clarinet with serial number 134823. I have done some research and I think dates back to 1973.
How can I tell if this is an R13 or if in fact is a different model and if possible the approximate value. Plays very well, no cracks, good keywork and probably needs some pad and cork work.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

If it has cutouts in the wood under the right hand pinky keys it's an R13. If it hasn't it isn't. Value can depend on too many things to hazard a guess here.

If it doesn't have any indication of what model it is on the top joint, then it's most likely an R13 - other models will have the model name on the top joint above the throat A key (S1, RC, etc.).
