I'm after more information on alto clarinet playing and alto clarinet music.
I've been playing my alto clarinet for the last 10 years in various bands. But i've always played off b flat music or music for the alto sax. I'm from Australia and not many people have heard of the alto and no one has music for it even the School of Music in Canberra. If you know of any websites or companies that might be useful could you let me know.
Thankyou
Casa Dalton

Hi Casa - I play bass cl [sometimes alto] in our Tulsa, OKla Community Band and nearly all of our music has alto cl parts, when some of the oldies dont so we use 2nd alto, preferably baritone sax parts [play down an octave if you can] or Eb horn parts. We have a web site if you wish to look, I'll post its URL shortly. There are usually only a few "solos" for alto as compared to bass in what "contemporary" music I've played. More questions?? Luck, Don
