Hey everyone, thanks for taking time to look at this and help me.
So, I'm looking for a new barrel and I'm looking for some suggestions so any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
I'm playing a buffet E11 France that's about 3 years old. I have a vandoren masters cl5 with the masters series ligature. Everything else is just the stock E11 and I don't really have the money to get an R13. I'm at a spending range of $100-$200, maybe $250 max.
The problem with my barrel is that it is a 65mm and that along with the already sharp master series mouthpiece means I'm 20+ cents sharp. Also I think thebore on my barrel is a bit resistant so I'm getting an airy tone. When I tried my friends moeing barrel, the airy sound cleared up immediately
Thanks for any input!

I have just order a custom barrel from Les Nicholas and it is great. I have backun traditional, buffet moening and I prefer my new barrels than these barrel.
It price is in your budget.

Contact Dr. Segal offline, he makes wonderful custom barrels.
E11 barrels are 64.5mm btw, E11's are designed to play at A-442

I have several barrels of different lengths all made by Robert Scott in Lansing Michigan I have tried many other barrels, but have found none I like better, including the high priced barrels He charges $65.00 plus a small amount for shipping. He is also a master at refacing and modifying mouthpieces. Robert (Scotty) has been repairing woodwinds for something like 50 years.
He works out of his basemen t and has no website. Let me know if you would like contact info.

Dr. Segal makes a fine barrel but because they are custom made I don't think you can get to try several. First off it sounds like you need a larger barrel, a 66 or even a 67. I use Backun 67s on both my Buffet Bb and A clarinet but I use a Segal 62.5 on my Selmer Signature because of the different bore size of Buffets and Selmers.
The are many good quality barrels on the market today. It seems everybody and his brother makes barrels today. I suggest you call or go on the computer to a major mail order store and ask to try several makes and sizes on a trial bases. Most will send you 3-4 to try and put one on your cridit card. The only way you will know what works best for your set up is to try several. Every barrel of every make and model play slightly different. Like mouthpieces, I've never played two exactly alike and I've tried many in my teaching and professional playing days.
