Dear members,
The hosting company was supposed to let me know before this server was migrated to a different version of the supporting language. They missed telling me ...
Soooo ... this board will be acting weird for a few days while I do what I can to get it running. I'll probably move it to a different server where I can control the upgrades.
Sorry about that. We'll get it up ASAP.

Oh how I empathize. I had that happen not too long ago. Required a 2 week re-coding project on my entire site! No Fun!

When the weirdness of the BB matches the weirdness of its posters we'll have a Weirdness Impedance Match and the world will be in a happy start of harmonic convergence.

Are you sure? It could cause a tear in the fabric of the universe and destroy everything.

Naah, too late -- Shroedinger's cat had kittens all over the place and the fabric of the universe is in tatters already. All the new Weirdness Impedence Match means is that another alternate universe just popped into being, in which the clarinet is a weapon of mass construction: play a clarinet chorus with just the right harmonic vibrations and you can raise a whole city in a matter of minutes. Unfortunately, the city is made of reed cane and nobody can actually live in it, but when the first one went up, it made quite a tourist attraction. People came from all over the planet to listen to it (from a safe distance, of course). Now, though, so many Reedvilles have sprung up that there's no such thing as a safe distance any more and nearly the entire population plans to migrate to Mars, where clarinets are illegal.

Eagerly awaiting your book on the new world of Reedvilles, Lelia -- or will the movie precede the book?

Don't forget about the sudden collapse of Reedville due to no two pieces of wood being the same...

Be very afraid! Your government is conspiring to make reeds of any calibre illegal. Clarinets are OK, but must be deactivated so that they cannot be played.

Since the reviews came out before I'd even written the book, no publisher would have touched it, so I didn't even need to bother to write it.
Mark, thank you for taking such good care of this website. You're venerated throughout time and space. Except in the dark matter.

Two websites moved to a brand new server & everything looks cool. I'm going to create another server and put the databases on it.
Looks like I'm going to have a donation drive this year ...
